A MIG welder, also known as a MIG welding machine or a MIG welder unit, is the key piece of equipment used to perform a MIG welding project. MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding is a widely used welding process in which an electric arc forms between a consumable wire electrode and the workpiece, melting the wire and fusing it with the base metal to create a weld.
