Spirit Levels
Spirit levels are tools used to determine whether a surface or object is level or plumb, that is, whether it is perfectly horizontal or vertical. A Spirit Level can make a huge difference to the success and quality of the job at hand. They are a simple and easy tool to use and consist of a rectangular or circular frame containing a tube called the vial, filled with liquid and a bubble inside. The spirit level should always be placed in the center of the object you are leveling. If the bubble in the vial is in between the two lines then the surface is flat. If the bubble is to the right or to the left then that indicates the surface is not flat.
