LASERLOTION PROTEC LC20A is a bio anti-spatter for protection of work pieces (sheets, pipes) and jigs (grating) in laser cutting processes.

  • Higher quality with spatter-free metal finishes

  • Process stability also in subsequent processes such as welding and coating

  • Suitable for manual and automatic application

Protection for steel, stainless steel etc.

Requirements
During a laser cutting process spatter can stick to the upper- and bottom side of the metal sheet, and – at pipe laser cutting – can stick to the inner side of the pipe. In order to keep up the surface quality and avoid cleaning effort, metal sheets and pipes should be protected against the adherence of spatter.

At the same time process stability in subsequent processes as welding and coating needs to be given. The clients expect spatter free, clean surfaces of the laser cut pieces.

Need for protection – areas of application:

  • Starting phase (penetration): Hot metal is casted to the top – the upper side of sheets needs to be protected.

  • Crossing grating: Spatter and slack are reflected to the bottom side of the sheet – protection is required, especially when cutting stainless steel.

  • Grating: Spatter and slack cause cleaning effort – a protective film helps reducing it.
