Protection and Safety

A welding helmet or welding mask is one of the most critical pieces of safety equipment you can have. Not only is a welding helmet one of the most important pieces of personal protective equipment you can have, but it is also near enough impossible to be able to weld without one. The arc burns so brightly that it is near enough impossible to be able to look at it directly with the naked eye, but not only that, it is also highly damaging to your eyes to look at something that bright.

A welding helmet or welding mask will offer protection for your eyes from the bright light of the torch fire, but it also offers protection to your skin from the risk of flying sparks and burns.

Check out our 5 things to consider before buying your new welding helmet.

Even if you are on a budget, we do not recommend simply buying the least expensive helmet for the sake of it, take your time, and explore your options, as these can have a big impact and can help to deliver long term benefits. If you are not sure, please do not hesitate to contact us for help and advice.
